This is a 30 hour advance certificate program and is composed of classroom didactic and clinical instruction. This program is designed to further advance your career or prepare you for employment in the Sleep Disorder industry as a working sleep technician or technologist. In order to participate in the class you either need to complete our Boot Camp I - Basics Certificate Program or have recent previous experience working as a sleep technician or technologist.

With the completion of this Boot Camp II - Advance Certificate Program you will be able to better communicate and interact effectively with sleep disorder patients, their families, physicians, and other medical professionals. You will be trained in the understanding of physical and physiological aspects of sleep disorders; the understanding of different sleep disorders; application of electrodes utilizing the international 10-20 system; understanding ancillary & digital monitoring equipment; sleep ECG interpretation & EEG abnormalities, calculations, proper documentation of patient charts, and technician notes & comments.

You will learn to better understand filters and sleep montages for a variety of sleep diagnostic protocols. You will also learn and be tested on your ability to prepare the patient for, and perform, sleep studies & testing including Polysomnography, Home Sleep Testing (HST's), Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT's), MWT's, and PAP-Naps. This will include state-of-the-art equipment, theory & theory application and American Academy of Sleep Medicine's (AASM) rules for "scoring."

You will prepare the patient and administer Positive Airway Pressure devices including BiPAP, CPAP, Auto Set, ASV, and Oxygen administrations and associated risks. This includes proper mask selection & fitting.
